Isn't my sister gorgeous!!?

Okay, Okay... So, I am a little excited about Stephanie's senior portraits, hence the subject line of this blog post... But it is so cool to watch your sweet younger sister all of the sudden jump into adulthood and blossom in such a beautiful way! As our shoot began, we were already having a hilarious time joking about making weird faces and laughing at ourselves.

She warned me just before the shoot that she was 100% camera shy and did NOT feel comfortable having her photos taken... Since Stephanie did such a great job warming up to the camera, I asked her for a few tips to share with up and coming seniors who are preparing for their portraits to be taken.

Here's what she said!

Tip #1 Loosen up! Remembering to loosen up helped me feel more natural in my poses so that I could move around comfortably without feeling forced.
Tip #2 - Just be yourself! Doing things and wearing things that reflect your personality make you more comfortable.
Tip #3 - Think of positions that flatter your body type before the shoot. Then you know you're looking great in the shot because you've practiced that pose before.
Tip #4 - Wear colors that will compliment the surroundings and add something interesting to the shot.
Tip #5 - Bring hairspray for the flyaways! A MUST!
Tip #6- Be open to trying new things. You will be so glad you were able to relax and have fun in the end of it all!

Thank you, Stephanie for those awesome tips. I couldn't agree more :) Here are a few of our favorites from the day in Downtown Pensacola!
